Mobile, AL-- Former Bucs' head coach Raheem Morris, has landed on his feet with the Washington Redskins, and he's in Mobile this week coaching in the Senior Bowl.
After being fired by the Bucs, Raheem interviewed with Mike Shanahan and the Redskins that same week. The Redskins officially announced his hiring this week, as assistant coach of the defensive backs.
Between South squad workouts, Raheem told reporters why he chose the Redskins.
"A lot of things are the people that you know, the people that you deal with," said Raheem Morris. "Coach Shanahan, you can't be with a better program or better guys... I've very close to Kyle Shanahan and those guys, very close to management and Bruce Allen... I'm familiar with that type of stuff... I've been familiar with Coach Haslett for years... It's a very good defense that's worked for years, the 3-4 defense... A defense you can grow and develop."
The Bucs are now in their fourth week of searching for Raheem Morris' successor.
